Srdan Lazendic obtains his doctorate

On October 27, 2023, Srdan Lazendic successfully defended his doctoral thesis, titled “Hypercomplex Algebra and Sparse Optimization in Multiband Image Processing.”

Srdan’s research delved into multiband image processing through sparse optimization and hypercomplex algebra-based methods. Srdan completed his doctoral studies under the guidance of Prof. Hendrik De Bie and Prof. Aleksandra Pizurica. Other members of the examination board were Hennie De Schepper, Peter Veelaert, Srđan Stanković, Uwe Kähler, and David Van Hamme.

The defense was followed by a reception to mark this academic milestone. Here we also share some snapshots from the defense and the subsequent reception, capturing the essence of this significant achievement.
