On April 8th, 2022, Marija Habijan (in the middle) achieved her postgraduate doctoral degree with her work on Optimization of Deep Learning Algorithms for the Cardiovascular System Image Processing Using Residual Units. Her doctoral dissertation was a part of a joint Ph.D. agreement between the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, Gent University and the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Information Technology Osijek, J.J. Strossmayer University of Osijek Croatia. The thesis is done under the supervision of Professor Irena Galić from FERIT Osijek (left) and Professor Aleksandra Pizurica and dr. ir. Danilo Babin (right) from Ghent University.
